V. How we work
The same three steps for a €2,000 matter and a €20m one.

The first meeting
45 minutes, in person or by video. You leave with an honest read: strong position or weak, worth pursuing or not.
ii.
Strategy and the fee, in writing
A written plan with scenarios, and a fee structure you sign before we start. No meter running in the dark.
iii.
Representation
We act, you decide. A short written update after every hearing, filing and offer.
Three ways we charge
Every invoice itemised. You will never first learn a price from an invoice.
a) By the Bar tariff
Court work and disputes, priced by the official attorney tariff. Predictable and reviewable.
b) Hourly
Advisory and contract work, €120-180 by seniority, in six-minute units you can audit.
c) Fixed, with a success part
Transactions and recoveries: a fixed base you know upfront, a bonus only if the result lands.

VI. Fair questions
The ones every sensible client asks, answered the way we answer them in the room.
What does the first consultation cost?
€120 for 45 minutes, credited against any engagement that follows. If we tell you there is no case worth running, that is the whole cost of finding out.
How do you charge?
Three ways: by the official attorney tariff for court work, hourly for advisory, or a fixed fee with a success component for transactions. Whichever applies, you sign the fee agreement before we start.
How long will my dispute take?
First-instance commercial cases in Zagreb usually take one to three years. We push where pushing helps, tell you when it does not, and most of our disputes end earlier, in a settlement.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes, under attorney-client privilege, from the first call onwards. It also covers matters we decline. We cannot be compelled to reveal what you tell us, and we would not be much of a firm if we could.
Can you act for me if I am not in Zagreb?
Yes. With a power of attorney we appear for you; meetings run by video and filings go through the courts' e-Communication system. Plenty of our clients we have met in person exactly once.
