Velvet Static Afterglow

The new album

Afterglow

LP · 12 tracks · 47 min · Released March 2026 on Nocturne Records

Recorded over two winters in a converted Kreuzberg substation, Afterglow is Velvet Static at their most expansive — analog synth haze welded to live drums, blown-out guitars, and choruses built to be screamed back. It is a record about the hour after the lights come up, when the room is still ringing.

The band

Four players, one frequency

Velvet Static started as a basement project between two friends and a borrowed drum machine. Eight years later they fill the rooms they used to sneak into — a four-piece trading synths, fuzz, and harmonies under a wall of light.
